When somebody asks me “What are the boules used for?” my answer is always “Nothing!” because I like to imagine them abandoned in some corner of the garden or at the foot of an old tree, a moving shape which will alter the space where it comes to rest. Boules can be very effective placed on top of tall urns or may be used to enclose ground level lighting. They will support a moderately sized climbing plant such as clematis. Classic dimensions range from 60cm to 100cm.
